I have an appointment at 9:45. Upon entering the date into my phone’s calendar, it asks if I would like to take into account travel time, which it estimates to be 15 minutes. It then asks if I would like to receive a notification when it’s time to leave at 9:30.
My phone is not aware, however, that my appointment is in a large office building with a parking structure. I’m arriving during business hours. The structure will be full. It will take 5-10 minutes to find a parking spot, another five minutes to walk to the office, and I really ought to arrive at least five minutes early, anyway. So if I leave home on time, I’ll be late.
I wish my smartphone was smart enough to know those things.
